Harry Truman Signs Postal Cover Commemorating First Day That Stamp Honoring President John F. Kennedy Was Issued

This is a unique Harry Truman signed item that directly links him to another great Democrat President, John F. Kennedy. The Post Office on May 29, 1964 issued a new commemorative stamp honoring the memory of President Kennedy with a portrait of Kennedy and the eternal flame and the message "...AND THE GLOW FROM THAT FIRE CAN TRULY LIGHT THE WORLD * 1917* JOHN FITZGERALD KENNEDY*1963" These Post Office envelopes dated when a new stamp is issued are called "first day covers" or FDCs. President Truman signs his name at the top right of the envelope over the stamp.

A one of a kind historical object that links two beloved Presidents of the 20th century.
