Winslow Homer Civil War Wood Engraving

"The Union Cavalry And Artillery Starting In Pursuit Of The Rebels Up The Yorktown Turnpike"

This sketch from the battle front by Winslow Homer depicts the start of the Peninsular campaign headed by the ill-fated General George McClellan. It shows both the Union cavalry and artillery and even show telegraph lines, which is fairly rare in Civil War engravings.

Below is the full sheet of the engraving showing plenty of margins for matting and framing and a chip off the top left corner that is not visible with the matted print.

The engraving will come to you matted and enclosed in a protective clear plastic sleeve.
