Winslow Homer Every Saturday Wood Engraving

  "Cutting A Figure"

This is one of the most lovely of Winslow Homer's engravings and it comes matted and framed in an antique frame. This is the only double page engraving from Homer's work for Every Saturday and it is one of his best. This print is in great condition which is rare for double page centerfolds which often have tears and foxing at the fold.

Below are some more pictures of this spectacular Homer print and the text that was published with it on  February 4, 1871.

Below is a picture of the print before framing showing that it has full borders and is in excellent condition, the light balance between the two halves of the picture, however, is not correct, the framed picture shown above is closer to reality. This wood engraving is currently in our living room and it makes a fine presentation.

Reference: Beam 190; Image Size: 11 11/16 x 18 5/8 inches and 21 5/8 x 26 5/8 inches framed.
